Visiting Kadayjha at Camp - can I go next year?!
On July 11, we loaded up in Kristin’s car and headed down to Culver to visit Kadayjha at the Culver Military Academy Woodcraft Camp. (photos below)
For those who are reading our blog for the first time, Kadayjha is a bright, mature and ambitious 12-year-old who has some big dreams - one of which included attending Culver’s prestigious Woodcraft Camp.

Crunch Time.
Off to make some more bracelets with the girls tonight!
Between work, meetings, events, school, weddings, vacation, trips (JK just back from Ireland and KS heading to China in a week!), it is pretty impossible to schedule a night with everyone in attendance these days.

Meet Ka’Dajah.
Ka’Dajah is a bright 12-year-old who loves school, making jewelry and aspires to be a doctor or lawyer.
Ka’Dajah’s family found themselves in unfortunate circumstances, and mostly recently, homeless. While staying at the Center for the Homeless in South Bend, the staff there, including our own JK, learned of Ka’Dajah’s dream of attending the prestigious Culver Military Academy.

How It All Began
For our first blog post, I thought I would share some background about how look furtHER came about - from my perspective at least.
The way I see it, look furtHER started with a friendship. A friendship between girls, all from different backgrounds and in different stages of our lives, who just immediately… clicked!
